BACKGROUND
Dr. Greg’s weekly 2 hour call-in/interview
show was heard throughout the San Francisco Bay
Area on KNEW AM 910 (CNET Radio) and nationwide
on XM satellite radio. The show focused on job/career
issues and the challenges of keeping on top in
today’s fast-evolving workplace.
HOST
Dr. Greg Ketchum, dubbed the “Frasier of
the Cubicles” by the San Francisco Chronicle,
is a former clinical psychologist-turned CEO and
media career coach. He presides over an executive
talent firm, providing coaching and recruiting
for executives and Fortune 500 companies. A unique
mix of psychology and coaching expertise gives
Dr. Greg a great understanding of people and what
it takes for career success. Combined with his
keen insight into today’s job market, and
infused with his trademark quick wit, Dr. Greg
challenges his audience to reach for career success
on their own terms—and to have a good time
doing it.
Currently, Dr. Greg is the “KRON 4 Workplace & Career Expert” for KRON 4
TV (CBS San Francisco) Eyewitness News.
SHOW TOPICS
The show focuses on topics that have an impact
on people’s working lives, ranging from
how to find your next job, to the best strategies
for holding on to the job you’ve already
got. The show features solid information on essential
workplace skills as well as action steps for meeting
the titanic changes afoot in the workplace head-on
(i.e., the end of job security, the rise in temporary
jobs, the need to manage your own career), etc.
In addition, you will hear fascinating interviews
with leading entrepreneurs, hiring managers, employment
experts and industry luminaries, who open up and
share their secrets for career success. Dr. Greg
also examines trends and news impacting today’s
workplace, giving listeners a leg up in preventing
the next lay-off/downsizing/outsourcing event
from turning them into another out-of-work labor
statistic.
FORMAT
The show functions as a one to three hour live
call-in program, or as a pre-recorded interview
show.
