Step 1
Look for jobs that
can't be broken down into repeatable steps and/or
requires a lot of human interaction, i.e. management,
teaching, sales, human resources, etc.
Step 2
Improve your communication
and people skills. These skills will make you
much more valuable to your employer. Many companies
are moving to "matrixed" organizations,
which require these skills to survive.
Step 3
Improve your "Big
Picture" and business skills. Your ability
to "see the big picture" at work and
understand how business works will allow you to
see new opportunities for business and be able
to personally add to the bottom line.
